Rocketgame
My first game playground. Done in the godot engine. Just having fun testing out different things.
Fly a spaceship dodge meteors and other dangers. Collect coins to score. Choosing a higher difficulty gives you more points per coin. Currently not finished, only has 5 levels.
Controls:
arrow keys / wasd - Control the ship
spacebar - Pause game
Art is mine.
Sound is from free to use sources.

Alright first level on hard EZ 78 points
Second level on hard died early and then it wasn't gonna matter because I saw the GREEN ASTROIDS bro aint no way i'm gettin through there with the controls

Any feedback ? I made the controls kinda "slippery" to increase difficulty but perhaps it's just frustrating. Could increase friction to make the controls a bit tighter.
No problem! I forgot to mention that WASD didn't work for me.
I got 282 points for beating the game on easy mode this time. I really liked the mine enemies. Their sound effects are great and especially the explosion. I wish there were more unique obstacles like that but I decided that I liked the floaty controls. I think it adds a good challenge (not really annoying). I also liked how forgiving the hitbox for your player and the asteroids is. Also, I only just realized I could fly upwards and downwards!
Also, I just managed to beat hard mode with 363 points and I even got passed the green asteroids without dying!
Anyways, pretty fun game actually!
